We are fond of our garden

Underneath old fruit trees and surrounded by meadows is our barbecue place and our children playground with slide, sandy box, swings and climbing tower. Also there is enough space for ball games, badminton and others. Comfortable garden furniture invite the guest to stay.

Our village

Sommeri is an idyllic and peaceful small rural village declared as landscape conservation area. There are hiking trails and bicycle lanes and skating routes directly passing the Guesthouse or close to it.

Cycling

• In the Canton Thurgau there are 900 km signposted cycling routes.
  A special route in view of its history significance is the christian council route (Route 55) along the oldest connection between the former most important religious centres St. Gallen and Constance. It bypasses the Guesthouse at the Sunfield.
  The most well-known is the „Lake of Constance Cycling Route“, who leads bankside on more than 273 km around the Lake. You can combine this route with passenger boat, ferry or train trip sections. (refer also to www.bodensee-radweg.com or www.fahrrad-tour.de).

Hiking

• In the Canton Thurgau there are more then 1000 km signposted hiking routes in a soft and hilly landscape, with geourgous sights and interesting river valleys. Routes of interest are e.g. the nature trail for fruits in Altnau, the river of Thur route, the nature reserve Hudelmoss close to Amriswil, nearby sections of a pilgrimage trail, the industry trail in Bischofszell, the der grapes hiking trail, the Appenzeller Jokes route or the nearby alpine Säntis or Alpstein hiking areas. , der Appenzeller Witzweg oder das alpine Säntis- und Alpsteinwandergebiet. Skating

• In the Canton Thurgau there are more then 200 km signposted Skating tours on asphalted routes and paths. Some more are around the Lake www.bodensee-skating.de
